Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram Lead the Pelicans to Victory Over the Nuggets in NBA Matchup

NEW ORLEANS — Zion Williamson scored 26 points and Brandon Ingram added 21 to lead the New Orleans Pelicans to a 115-110 victory over the Denver Nuggets on Friday night. Williamson and Ingram each came through with crucial points during an 8-0 run in the final minutes to secure the win for the Pelicans.

With Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Reggie Jackson, and Aaron Gordon missing 3-point shots for a chance to tie the game in the final 30 seconds, the Pelicans edged out a narrow victory. The ball went out of bounds off Denver with 15 seconds left, and Herb Jones seized the opportunity to hit two free throws for New Orleans after being fouled on an inbound pass with 13.5 seconds remaining.

Jonas Valanciunas scored 22 for New Orleans, helping them win their second straight game in the NBA In-Season Tournament. Nikola Jokic’s exceptional performance included 26 points, 16 rebounds, and 18 assists for the Nuggets, who never led in the game. Christian Braun scored 24 points and Michael Porter Jr. added 18 points and 11 rebounds for Denver.

Naji Marshall contributed 12 points on four 3s for New Orleans, and Daniels finished with 10. Gordon and Jackson each scored 14 for Denver.
