The 48th Season of the PBA began with the Commissioner’s Cup on November 5, 2023. The traditional season-opener, the Philippine Cup, was replaced by this conference. The elimination games will be held on Sundays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays at three venues around Metro Manila: Smart Araneta Coliseum, Philsports Arena, and Ynares Center Antipolo. There are no games scheduled at the Mall of Asia Arena at this time. The PBA will also have out-of-town matches in Tiaong, Quezon; San Jose, Batangas; and Iloilo City on three Saturdays this year. On December 25, the league’s Christmas Day feature will include San Miguel versus Phoenix and Ginebra versus TNT at Smart Araneta Coliseum. After the holiday break, games will resume on January 5, 2023. Additionally, PBA will now be aired on Channel 11 and Channel 20 for cable viewers, moving away from TV5. The games will be at 4 pm and 8 pm on Wednesdays and Fridays, and 3 pm and 6:15 pm on weekends.
