Verstappen Triumphs in Las Vegas Grand Prix Showdown

Max Verstappen claimed the 18th win of his season, overcoming a five-second penalty in the Las Vegas Grand Prix on Saturday. Charles Leclerc overtook Sergio Perez to grab second place, and Esteban Ocon finished fourth in a race with multiple lead changes and overtaking. Verstappen had been critical of Formula One’s return to Vegas but celebrated with “Viva Las Vegas” on the team radio. The pre-race grid was packed with celebrities, and the race saw plenty of overtaking and lead changes. Verstappen won by 2.070 seconds over Leclerc in the latest starting race in F1 history. He said the race was tough but a lot of fun. Lando Norris crashed out, and Leclerc was able to get the lead back from Verstappen on lap 16. Verstappen served a penalty in the pit but managed to regain his lead and win the race. Carlos Sainz finished sixth after starting in 12th place, and Lewis Hamilton and George Russell finished seventh and eighth. Fernando Alonso was ninth and Oscar Piastri finished tenth.
