Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving lead Mavericks to win over Clippers.
In an NBA In-Season Tournament game on Friday night, the Dallas Mavericks defeated the Los Angeles Clippers 144-126. Luka Doncic dominated the game with 44 points, and Kyrie Irving added 27 points to secure the win for Dallas. Their victory improved their tournament record to 1-1 following an opening loss at Denver.
The Mavericks established control early in the game with a strong second period and built a 33-4 lead in the first half. They continued to extend their lead, reaching 100 points in the third period and achieving their highest point total of the season.
Despite the Clippers’ efforts, including Kawhi Leonard’s 26 points and James Harden’s 14 points in his Clippers debut, they were unable to overcome the Mavericks’ dominant performance. Given the Clippers’ recent struggles, they are seeking to regroup and prepare for their upcoming game against Memphis.
On the other hand, the Mavericks are looking forward to their games against New Orleans, both in a regular game and a tournament game on Sunday and Tuesday night, respectively.
