Unraveling the Mystery: Francis Lopez’s Arm During UAAP Finals Game 1
Lopez, from UP, wore a black armband on his left arm with a monitoring device to maintain his sugar levels during the game.
The device was necessary as he revealed, “My sugar gets low so I got some device here [in the band]. I have to check it sometimes and I just have to check my sugar gets low and I feel dizzy.”
Furthermore, he added, “We even got the PT (physical therapist) out there giving me some candies. I was taking it during the game.”
Lopez played superbly despite his health concerns by hitting 15 points and 11 rebounds with a double-double performance.
He emphasized the importance of his teammates in keeping his focus and staying prepared for these high-stakes matches, especially since this was his debut in the UAAP Finals. “They [teammates] were there for me, always. They always talk to me, especially the coaches. We talk about what’s going to happen because they’ve been there.”
Lopez expressed his gratitude towards his teammates, coaches, and was hopeful for the next game.
Lopez and his team are gearing up for the next game against the same team and the chance to secure their victory in this season’s finals.
