Thunder’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Chet Holmgren Outshine Warriors in NBA Showdown
Andrew Wiggins hit a go-ahead 3-pointer and Chet Holmgren grabbed the inbound pass and knocked down a game-tying shot in the final seconds. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 40 points, six rebounds and six assists, leading the Thunder to a thrilling overtime victory. The Thunder outscored the Warriors 13-6 in the extra period. Holmgren scored a career-high 36 points and was complemented by Jaylin Williams’ 22 points. The Warriors dominated the first half, but the Thunder rallied in the third quarter to cut the deficit. Wiggins scored a season-high 31 points and Curry had 25 points. Despite Curry’s return, the Warriors were shorthanded. The Thunder will visit the Trailblazers, while the Warriors will host the Rockets in their next games.
