Suns’ Bradley Beal Sidelined by Ankle Injury in Game Against Knicks
Phoenix Suns guard Bradley Beal suffered a right ankle injury in the first quarter of Friday night’s game against the New York Knicks. Beal did not return following the injury.
The Suns’ All-Star trio of Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Beal has played together for just one other game this season, in Wednesday night’s loss to the Brooklyn Nets.
During the game against the Knicks, Beal landed on the foot of New York’s Donte DiVincenzo and was called for a Flagrant 1. Beal writhed in pain but managed to make a free throw before heading to the locker room.
Beal, who has dealt with a sore back for much of the past two months, was playing in only his sixth game this season. Durant and Booker have also missed time this season with various injuries.
Before leaving with the injury, Beal had scored six points against the Knicks.
