Selfless Standout: Kevin Quiambao Downplays Accomplishments following Third Consecutive Triple-Double in UAAP
Kevin Quiambao achieved his second triple-double in UAAP Season 86 men’s basketball tournament, but the credit still primarily went to coach Topex Robinson and the La Salle Green Archers for bringing out the best in him. Quiambao recorded 17 points, 19 rebounds, 12 assists, four steals, and two blocks in their game against University of the East, leading La Salle to its sixth consecutive win with a score of 86-76.
La Salle coach Robinson expressed his amazement at Quiambao’s performance and leadership, referring to him as a blessing to the team. Robinson emphasized Quiambao’s determination and hard work and how it has contributed to his stellar season performance. Quiambao’s animated demeanor during the games serves as a significant energy boost for the team and their fans, and his fellow teammate Mark Nonoy values both his energy and assists.
Quiambao and the Green Archers will face Far Eastern University on Wednesday and Ateneo on Saturday to conclude their elimination round before proceeding to the Final Four.
