San Miguel Acquires Trollano, NLEX Adds Bolick in Multiteam Deal

MANILA, Philippines–San Miguel Beer landed Don Trollano on Monday to complete an approved three-team trade that initially sent Robert Bolick from NorthPort to NLEX.

The PBA Commissioner’s Office on Monday gave its go-signal for the multi-team deal to push through, with Trollano joining the talent-laden Beermen squad after improving leaps and bounds with the Road Warriors.

Trollano, runner-up to Maverick Ahanmisi in the race for last season’s Most Improved Player, was initially dealt to NorthPort in order for NLEX to get the rights of Bolick, who is set for a PBA return after cutting his stint in Japan’s B.League.

NorthPort also got Ben Adamos, Kris Rosales and a second round pick next season while also shipping Kent Salado to NLEX as part of Bolick’s move.

The Batang Pier then traded Trollano to the Beermen in exchange for Allyn Bulanadi, Jeepy Faundo and a second round pick in Season 51.

Trollano is expected to bolster an already-loaded San Miguel roster with his ability to score while setting up an Adamson reunion with Jericho Cruz and Rodney Brondial and active consultant Leo Austria.

But San Miguel is currently dealing with a rash of injuries, namely June Mar Fajardo, Jeron Teng, Terrence Romeo and Simon Enciso, thus making Trollano’s addition extra important.

NLEX got Bolick in a move to make up for the loss of Kevin Alas, who is out with an ACL injury.
