The 2023 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) second All-Filipino Conference brought excitement to Cagayan de Oro City as fans warmly welcomed defending champion Creamline, PLDT, Akari, and Gerflor ahead of their highly anticipated games at the Aquilino Q. Pimentel International Convention Center. The teams also paid a courtesy visit to Mayor Rolando Uy at Cagayan de Oro City Hall before meeting and interacting with their fans in a meet and greet event. However, the Petro Gazz Angels’ Ranya Musa suffered a complete ACL tear in her right knee, ruling her out for the remainder of the conference. Despite the setback, the PVL’s visit to Cagayan de Oro City was a momentous occasion for both the players and their enthusiastic supporters.
