Lyceum win 84-81 against College of St. Benilde holding a winning streak of five games. They are tied for the top spot in the elimination round at 11-3 making the race for No. 1 a two-sided affair with idle Mapua.
Lyceum managed to force 20 turnovers from Benilde, leading to 28 points. Enoch Valdez scored 15 points while John Bravo added 14, further leading the Pirates to victory.
Despite the loss, Benilde is still in third place at 9-5. They aim to recover in their final four games for a potential seat in the top two in the playoffs.
San Beda lost 61-57 to Perpetual Help. Perpetual’s Migs Oczon scored 19 points, while Ray Carlos, Will Gozum, and Miggy Corteza provided support, but it was not enough to secure a win. San Beda is now at 8-5.
Perpetual’s Jacob Cortez scored 22 points to help secure the win, while Mark Omega grabbed 11 rebounds, leading the Altas to a 7-7 record.
