Oklahoma City Thunder Dominate Portland Trail Blazers to Extend Win Streak to 5 Games in NBA Clash
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the Oklahoma City Thunder to a 134-91 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers with 28 points. The Thunder extended their winning streak to five games. The victory comes on the heels of a 130-123 overtime win against the Warriors, where Gilgeous-Alexander scored 40 points.
The Blazers, who have lost seven consecutive games, struggled without key players due to injuries. Jerami Grant was their top scorer with 14 points.
Chet Holmgren and Isaiah Joe made significant contributions for the Thunder with 16 and 15 points respectively. The team’s coach, Mark Daigneault, started resting his starters in the third quarter.
The Thunder played without Jalen Williams, who was sidelined with a hip injury, while the Blazers are dealing with key injuries to Anfernee Simons, Scoot Henderson, and Malcolm Brogdon.
Despite the strong performance by Gilgeous-Alexander, Portland continues to struggle offensively and ranks last in the NBA with an average of 103.9 points per game.
Looking ahead, the Thunder will face the Bulls, while the Trail Blazers will take on the Phoenix Suns in an In-Season Tournament game.
