Michael Porter Jr. contributed 30 points, and Jamal Murray made his return. Murray scored 16 points, bringing the Nuggets to a 6-1 record. Murray’s return allowed Denver to deliver an astounding offensive performance with 19 made 3-pointers and 37 assists in the game. Nuggets coach Michael Malone commented, “It was a great outcome.” Denver has won three consecutive games, and Jokic, the NBA champion, recorded his seventh triple-double of the season. Porter said, “This is pretty easy basketball when you’ve got someone that good with the floater, but also that good at passing.” The team had a strong start in the first quarter with 41 points and led by as many as 19 points before ultimately defeating the Rockets. Jalen Green led the Rockets with 26 points, and Alperen Sengun added 22 points. The Rockets lost for the fifth time in seven games.
