Meralco Electrifies the PBA 3×3 League with Leg Title Victory, Ending Drought

MANILA, Philippines–Meralco finally won a PBA 3×3 season title. Using balanced scoring, the team’s five-point finish took them to a 15-13 victory over the guest team MCFASolver. The Bolts last won in the third leg of Season 2 First Conference. This time, Alfred Batino and Jeff Manday made sure the title was theirs. Trailing 4-5 early on, Meralco then went on a 9-3 run to secure a five-point lead, ultimately winning the P100,000 purse. Brandon Ramirez finished with six points as the scorer for MCFASolver, which took home half the prize money for finishing runner-up. The teams reached the finals by beating their semifinal opponents. The Tech Centrale secured a finals place by beating the Cavitex Braves 20-19, and the Bolts won against the Purefoods TJ Titans 21-13. Ultimately, the Braves secured third place by defeating the Titans 21-18. Cavitex had previously eliminated grand slam-seeking TNT, with a 19-17 victory in the quarterfinals.
