MANILA, Philippines—Far Eastern University’s guard LJay Gonzales sees the Tamaraws’ remaining UAAP Season 86 men’s basketball tournament games as an ongoing challenge despite failing to secure a final four spot after losing to University of the Philippines at Araneta Coliseum.

Gonzales, a graduating guard, expressed satisfaction with his team’s performance against Season 85 finalists despite not making the cut for the final four as well as the season’s numerous challenges and injuries.

Gonzales finished with 20 points in the loss, and he aims to finish his career in the Green and Gold jersey on a high note by guiding and imparting his knowledge to his young teammates even though their playoff hopes are dashed.
