La Salle’s Mike Phillips Continues to Face Day-to-Day Battle with Ankle Injury in UAAP
La Salle’s Mike Phillips is day-to-day for the Green Archers as the UAAP Season 86 men’s basketball tournament elimination round nears its end. Still nursing an ankle injury, coach Topex Robinson said Phillips’ status for the last elimination round game against Ateneo is still uncertain. Robinson mentioned that Phillips’ eventual return to the team will depend on his readiness. “It’s still the ankle but actually, it’s more manageable now but like I said, we have an influx of bigs that can cover for him while he’s still recovering but he’ll be ready. It’s just a matter of us giving him the green light so he can play,” Robinson said.
The article also touches on the team’s performance without Phillips, stating, “The Green Archers did pretty well for themselves despite missing the star big man against the Tamaraws.” The game against Ateneo is still a focal point, with or without Phillips. The game is set to take place at Araneta Coliseum on Saturday.]]>
