Kevin Alas Endures Suspected ACL Tear Once Again at Ynares Antipolo in PBA

ANTIPOLO—Kevin Alas is suspected to have suffered an ACL injury.

Coach Frankie Lim bared that Alas underwent an MRI to check on the severity of the injury which came almost a minute into the second quarter of the Road Warriors’ 113-112 loss.

Both Alas and NLEX are waiting as of posting time on the MRI findings, hoping that results are not as severe as initially feared.

Alas previously sustained two ACLs on his right knee, the first in the 2018 Philippine Cup semifinals and in the elimination round of the 2019 Philippine Cup.

The injury came when Alas was looking to complete a fastbreak with a basket off Terrafirma’s Javi Gomez de Liano.

Alas, however, was able to walk under his own power before heading to the hospital.
