Harden’s Heroics Propel Clippers to Victory Over Warriors

James Harden scored his 25,000th career point while tallying a season-high of 28 points, 15 assists and seven rebounds, and Kawhi Leonard scored 27 points, with eight rebounds for the Los Angeles Clippers. They won their sixth consecutive game with a 121-113 victory over the struggling Golden State Warriors on Thursday night. Norman Powell collected 21 points with 10 of those coming in the fourth quarter. The Clippers secured their 11th victory in 14 games and have a 5-0 record at home in December, despite Paul George’s absence due to injury. Clippers coach Tyronn Lue praised Harden’s contribution in George’s absence, stating that “James raised his level of play in Paul’s absence.” Harden is the 24th player in NBA history to score 25,000 points. He has made a seamless transition to the Clippers. Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson played for the Warriors but they were without Draymond Green and Andrew Wiggins who were replaced by Jonathan Kuminga and Brandin Podziemski while Amir Coffey moved up to replace George. The Warriors will host the Brooklyn Nets next, while the Clippers will host the New York Knicks in their subsequent games.
