Cade Flores of Northport was present during practice despite being sick. Coach Bonnie Tan narrated how he took precautions, wore a mask, and maintained distance from others. Despite feeling unwell, his dedication impressed Tan. Flores’ hard work paid off, as he was among the top rookies, despite being sick during the PBA Commissioner’s Cup practice. Tan admired Flores’ dedication and work ethic, leading to his high draft pick. Even though Flores suffered from coughs and colds, he still kept up his performance, showcasing his perseverance in the game. Tan noticed Flores’ talent last year in NCAA Season 98, where he led Arellano to victory. Flores’ dedication extended to his mentoring from teammate Venkatesha Jois, who helped him transition to the PBA. Despite his illness, Flores was determined to continue practicing with the Batang Pier. His work ethic and dedication are truly commendable.
