Northport launched the PBA Commissioner’s Cup with a 2-0 record and a sparkling performance from Arvin Tolentino who scored a career-high 35 points in their recent game against Rain or Shine.
Tolentino’s scoring average of 25.5 points in the first week with a 37.5 percent shooting clip from three-point range earned him the PBA Press Corps Player of the Week for the new season.
Additionally, Arellano product Cade Flores was also recognized with the Rookie of the Week honors. His performance included averaging 9.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game.
