How To Practice The Von Latta Technique
At the end of this book, I offer a videocassette in which most of the exercises in this book, plus many, many more are demonstrated by our lovely model, Maxine Shoemaker. She shows you how to use the mechanics of the human body and through your own strength, direct pressure at problem areas in your back.
The VLT video can help you make immediate and dramatic progress. However, the video is certainly not necessary to understand and apply this program. Everything you need to know is outlined in this book. The video does allow me, through Maxine, to demonstrate methods of applying the VLT that will allow you a greater immediate understanding of the dynamics of this program.
Keep accurate and up-to-date records and use common sense. If you are getting better, then continue the routine that feels good to you. However, if you aren't making progress or feel uneasy about your progress, adjust it, change it, make modifications.

Sample Calendar
The above example is a sample calendar wherein information about yesterdays problems can be cross-referenced against what you are experiencing today. Having such information immediately available allows you a better understanding of your actual progress. The object of this entire program is to get better and to improve the quality of your life. To do this you must know just how this program is affecting you. So keep accurate records.
